The Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card has a fairly straightforward earning structure: 2 points per $1 spent on Southwest® purchases and Rapid Rewards® Hotel and Car Rental Partner purchases. 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases. This is not a fantastic value for ongoing spending.
If you frequently fly with Southwest and are looking for a new way to stockpile Rapid Rewards points, the Southwest Rapid Rewards Priority Credit Card is a great way to get there. It comes with a high $149 annual fee, but it offers a few more perks than other Southwest cards.
To qualify for the Companion Pass, you'll need to earn 125,000 qualifying Southwest points in a calendar year. Points earned from the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card's 60,000-point sign-up bonus count toward that total.
Credit Score Needed for Southwest Credit Card
For the Southwest credit cards, you have the best approval odds with a minimum 670 credit score. This score is the start of “good credit”, the second-best credit score tier.
And you'll be allowed to have both Southwest business cards at the same time. So if you have or have had the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card, you can still apply for the Southwest Performance Business card.

Pathway to status
A good middle choice is the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card. Its higher annual fee is equalized by the extra anniversary points it offers, assuming you use the points toward a flight. It eliminates foreign transaction fees and offers minor progress toward elite status on the airline.
